J'adore le Printemps, moment magique de l'année. L'air est frais et la lumière éclatante, des odeurs de fleurs parsèment les rues et les jardins, les arbres sont verts et ornés de nouvelles feuilles et le ciel est d'un bleu pur.
Dans cette page, j'ai voulu reprendre ce qu'était le Printemps pour moi : la couleur et la luminosité.
Le Printemps représente la joie de recommencer de nouvelles choses, un nouveau départ.
I love spring… it is bright and fresh, a magical time of the year… the air is fragrant
with the smell of flowers blooming, the trees are green with new leaves, and the sky is
crystal blue.
In this layout I have captured spring and what it means for me… colour and
vibrancy.
Spring represents joy for new beginnings and growth.

Pour faire cette page, voici ce dont vous aurez besoin :
Une photo 13x18cm (noir et blanc pour faire ressortir la couleur et votre photo)
Du papier uni et imprimé
Alphabets
Mini Alphabets
9 boutons assortis
du tissu
fil de fer souple et très fin (pour coudre)
Aiguille et fil
Pages de vieux livres
Scotch de masquage
Massicot
Colle
Ciseaux
For this layout, this is what you'll need
A 5x7inch photograph. I used a black and white one to enhance the colours of the layout.
1 piece of cardstock OR patterned paper
1 scrap piece of card stock or patterned paper to write a heading onto
Alpha stickers or chipboard for title
Mini alpha stickers
9 assorted buttons
3 - 5x5 inch fabric swatches or charm squares*
1 piece of 12x2 inch wired ribbon
Needle and thread
Page torn from a recycled book
Masking tape
* if you don’t have any fabric on hand, you can just use some patterned paper.
Paper trimmer
Scissors
Prinking scissors if you have some (not essential)
Adhesive
Glue – I used fabric stiffener, but if you don’t have some, then any PVA type glue should work

Maintenant, travaillons sur les embellissements...
• Sur l'embout du ruban, pliez le fil de fer sur lui-même, afin d'éviter qu'il ne file
• Enfilez le fil tout le long d'un côté du ruban
• Une fois que vous avez cousu le fil de fer sur l'ensemble du ruban, tirez sur le fil pour créer la fleur
• Avec du fil et une aiguille, n'hésitez pas à faire un point de couture sur la base de la fleur : cela ne se verra pas sur votre page
Creating the page elements:
Ribbon flower:
• At one end of the ribbon bend the wire, on one of the edges, over so that it will not
pull through.
• At the other end, on the same edge, pull the wire so that the ribbon gathers itself on
that side.
• Once the ribbon is fully gathered, begin to roll it up to create a flower effect.
• Using a needle and thread, stitch the flower into place at the base of the flower (you
wont see this on your layout)

Fleurs en tissu
Coupez votre morceau de tissu à l'aide d'un gabarit rond (ici, un rouleau de scotch).
Ajoutez des points de couture tout autour de votre fleur (avec un fil de couleur différente du tissu)
Cut out a circle of your fabric, about twice the size that you want your finished
flower to be.
• Stitch around the edge of the circle, about ¼ inch inwards.
• Gather the stitching tightly then hide the thread through the Yo-Yo.

Découpez des morceaux de tissu en formes de pétales avec un ciseau cranteur.
Trempez vos pétales dans de la colle pour les durcir et faites les sécher sur un rouleau.
Using one of your 5x5inch fabric pieces, cut out a few petal shapes, I cut out 7
pieces and used prinking scissors.
• Glue the petals and place them on a cylinder shape to dry.

Découpez des morceaux de tissu pour embellir simplement votre page.
Vous pouvez ensuite les coudre sur le haut de vos pages, sur vos photos, en le combiant avec des morceaux déchirés de pages de vieux livres.
Un petit coup de machine à coudre et le tour est joué!
Using the scraps of fabric, make some further elements for your page… pull some of
the threads out to make a frayed edge.
Tear a piece of paper from a recycled book to go underneath the right side of your
photograph.
• Adhere your photograph on top of the text paper and add the material to the left and
lower edges of the photo.
• Machine stitch on top of the fabric strips.

Un peu de scotch de masquage ici et là pour ajouter de la texture...que vous pouvez facilement passer à la machine à coudre également...
Add a bit of masking tape below the fabric strips and stitch over.

Créez votre titre en écrivant ou en tamponnant sur un papier imprimé, puis détourez le titre avec votre paire de ciseaux.
Create your own title by writing or stamping onto patterned paper, then cut the title out with your scissors.
