Hello everyone!
Today, I'd like to show you a quick tip for editing your dark photographs on Photoshop.
On this photo of Karine I took in Budapest, the lack of light and the bad weather turned the picture into a dark and sad image.
Fortunately, it's easier to edit a dark photo than an overexposed one (impossible to edit).
1. Open Photoshop and your image.
You can click on each image below to make them bigger.
2. Click on Image>Adjust>Auto Levels. This will adjust the levels of the blacks & whites on your image.
Sometimes, just using this fonction can be good enough. In this case, not. :)
3. If your image is still too dark, click on Image>Adjust>Levels.
4. Change and work with the 3 different cursors in order to change the blacks, greys, whites on your image.
5. In Curves, you can also rearrange the levels of the lights.
7. Play with Brightness & Contrast in Image>Adjust if you need more work on your image.
Ta-da! You can now see the difference! :)
Have fun playing with Photoshop!
