I'm always on the look for tools, stuff that make my life easier. Being a busy 32-year-old scrapbook designer, owner of a growing company, designing for the best companies out there, always makes me super busy, so I need to find solutions to make my life easier.
Two years ago, Santa got me a Silhouette Cameo - never regretted the purchase, I LOVE IT so much, use it almost everyday, a must-have for sure.
As I have lots of questions regarding the supplies/tools I use on a daily basis, I thought I would write a blog post about it all.
The Selphy CP900 is the wifi one, while the CP800 needs to be plugged to your computer or camera. I got the wifi one as I don't have any computer in my scraproom, it's the only computer-like tool I have now and I use it almost excusively for my Project Life®.
- the Selphy CP900 in black and white - about 70€ for the black one, 90€ for the white one
- the photo paper & inks - about 30€ for 108 4x6" sheets + inks - super cheap I think
Now you can get started!
Here is a list of my most favorite apps that I use to edit my photo before printing them with my Selphy CP900...
- PicTapGo - the BEST app ever, same company that launched RadLab
- A Beautiful Mess - awesome app, love it
- Pic Frame - allows you to make photo collages
- the free app for the Selphy CP900
When I'm not using my Selphy, I use a Canon MX895, with my favorite photo paper : the Ilford Smooth Pearl photo paper. It's pretty, it's more expensive though as well, but the Smooth Pearl look gives your photos such a shiny and pretty look, without leaving your fingerprints on the paper, which I love! I teach a lot and it's always great to see that my students can touch my class project without ruining the photos inside.
This year, I asked Santa to bring me a Studio Lights system because I was sick of having crappy photos of my scrapbook projects. The thing is, in the South of France, it's dark night in the Winter at around 5pm, and I'm not done scrapping! I was then looking for a way to be more effective and found this awesome system on Amazon for a cheap price!
And here's how it looks in my guest room :)
Day light all day = AWESOME!
Hve a wonderful weekend!
