Ti amo, Italia!
So Damien surprised me for Christmas with a 5-day trip to Rome :) I had never been there, Damien did twice and he's in love with that city, in fact, I think he's in love with Italy :)
So we left our freezing country (man it's been sooooo cold in France these days, even in the South), for a grey but cool weather in Rome.
And, honestly, it's one of the most fascinating, beautiful, old, amazing cities I've ever been to !
The history is simpl amazing, the art...oh my god, THE ART! ART is EVERYWHERE! You go to a chruch and you can have a chance to admire a Carravaggio painting or a Michelangelo sculpture :)
We went to the Fountain of Trevi, Pantheon, Coliseum, Roman Forum, the Palatin, the Vatican, the Museum of Vatican, and many many many more :) Oh and piazza Navona and Piazza Di Spagna...
We saw the Sixtine Chapel, Raphaello's rooms, many Carravaggio paintings (he's my FAVORITE) and wooohooo...we walked a lot...ate a LOt of icecreams (Italian icecreams are the best!), pizzas, pastas (yummmm...my favorite thing foodwise) and drank some REALLY good red wine :)
Anyway it was fantastic :) here are some photos...I'll post more soon :) just need to edit them.
Now i'm getting ready for teaching this weekend...and leaving for California next week! REMEMBER that I'm teaching a class at Scrapbook Oasis, so if you are attending CHA, why not come and say hi?!!! You can find all the informations on SO blog :)
Pour le résultat du challenge, je fais ça dès que possible :)
A très bientôt!
Céline & Damien en direct de Rome :)
