I finally managed to play with my embossing pads for my Big Shot (you remember, the one I purchased at Made With Love and brought back as extra luggage to France! LOL)
I made a very very small mini album, one that holds in your hand, very fast to make, perfect for portraits, landscapes, family photos, puppies, beach, mountains, well, whatever you want!
I had those 2 1/4 x 3 inches photos waiting on my desk to be scrapped and they looked perfect for this mini album.
For the embossing part, if you don't have a big shot or a cuttlebug (or any other machine that embosses), you can definitely have a look at Késia's article in issue 5 of {entreARTistes}magazine, or get your hands on the already embossed cardstock that you might find at your LSS (Cosmo Cricket, Jillibean Soup & Jenni Bowlin teamed up with Color Core for amazing embossed cardstocks).
If you do have a Big Shot, you can emboss any cardstock that you like then!
You need to gather those stuff to make the mini album :
- a Big Shot or cuttlebug machine
- embossing dies (bought mine in France but I highly recommend Made With Love as they have an incredible range of dies for your cutting machine)
- patterned papers
- stamps
- kraft paper
- stickers and any kind of embellishments
- a binding machine such as the Bind it All
Your mini album is so small that you might want to use all of your left over papers that you save in a box (yeah I know you keep them all in a box, like we all do!).
Cut a 4" wide piece of kraft paper that you will emboss.
Then cut all of your photos so that they are 2 1/4 x 3 inches and glue patterned papers on the back of each photo.
Bind all the pages together.
And now embellish! It's as easy as that!
For my cover, once it is embossed, I used a Catslife Press stamp that I bought in Italy and used Versafine ink. Then I glued stickers and my title.
I also used masking tape from the amazing Violet Gift Shop : I recently purchased lots of stuff from her and look at this cute self-adhesive doily ribbon!
I had to use this piece of self-adhesive Fabrips from Studio Calico : it's cool, uh?
LOOOOOOVE the green masking tape here. LOVE.
There you go! A fast, easy, cute little album :)
Check back here on Thursday for a new giveaway :)
Have a great day!
