Here we are, grande premiere of Sketch Wednesday!
Let me explain...1 sketch + 2 possibilities = TONS of inspiration and ideas! :) Every week, one of the blog team members and myself will inspire you with a new sketch and 2 layouts based upon that sketch.
Of course, you are more than welcome to play along!
Here's the first sketch of this new serie, and we're starting with Lory who's going to inspire you for sure!

Let's admit it : this looks like a very easy sketch right? But let me tell you how fun and how many possibilities this offers you!
I chose to adapt the sketch to my picture : my photo was horizontal so I just turned the sketch upside down and worked on a 12x12 size instead of a 8,5x11" background.
A layout about the everyday, working at home, pretty colorful, with the new Kesiart products, some Studio Calico stamps and cuts with my Cameo.

And here's Lory's take on it...
Lory says about this sketch : "I am so honored to open this new adventure with my entry! A page that will be part of my 2011 album, I adore this size of layout! The sketch is amazing and inspires me a lot!
Thanks to the sketch, I used my paper leftovers and this is so satisfying don't you think? I have used all little pieces of papers, perfect together!
Using a sketch is very funny because from the original idea you can move forward to any final result. In the sketch, there are two hearts at the bottom of the page but I changed them in two circles for example; or in the center of the journaling part I have used stamps and chipboard letters to create the title. I love to play with many different kinds of materials and mix them up!
Why not use a label sticker in the opposite position? Like I have done on the top of the journaling part of the page ;)
To tone down the background color, I used some gesso and completely fell in love with it.
Wrote the journaling on my computer too.
About the colors, I usually love to play with different color combinations and this time, the combo orange/white/light blue is awesome mixed together, what do you think? My intention was to start from the colors of the picture and I think this color combo is perfect for it! Try different colors that you don't think you can use : you will have incredible nice results ;)
The most wonderful think is create a page and have fun! Don't think too much, play and enjoy!"
