Hello everyone! Today's Saturday! I'm flying to England this afternoon to demo and teach for Sizzix :) If you're going to be there, come and see me :) I'll be there every day!
Here's my second week of my Project Life :) I'm catching p slowly but surely! I'm already caught up on week 3 & 4 so I'll be sure to show them on Wednesday!
Here I am, ladies, back on Project Life! And this time, you can be sure that I won't resign : I'll stick to it, I'll fight against my procrastination, I'll motivate myself! My OLW is FOCUS : means focus on my on-going projects.
2013 is going to be a brand new life for me. I've started focusing on myself back in 2012, with my surgery. I thought it was the MAIN step I had to take to be me again. And today, I realized it was just a PART of it. Becoming me again means taking decisions, be true to myself, live the life I want to have :)
I know that Project Life is a project for me, I have loved it every second of it while I was creating. I just need to kno how I can manage my time better :)
Anyway, here is my opening page and WEEK #1, ladies! :D
Week #1
Week #2 is almost ready, just need to print one picture :)
This new year will be full of new adventures but it'll be FOCUSED on my new OLW word : FOCUS.
Focus on the essential.
And stop being harrassed by negativity people can pass on to you. We all tend to endure negativity, bad moods,... This year, I only want positivity.
I'll be there for my loved ones if they need me to, but I need to learn on focuse on my own positivity and go on. Get stronger.
Focus on family.
Since I've been self-employed, days have been very busy, trips happen almost every weekend - fact is, I don't spend much time with my parents, Damien, my friends, my family, my grandmothers... This has been the reason why I'll be teaching one weekend a month from now on.
Focus on friends.
The true ones. Those who are there for you anytime. Pure happiness. Laughters Change the world. Endless talks and funny argueing. This is what I want.
Focus on what I love to do
.
Time to change some things and focus on the fun stuff. The ones I love to do.
FOCUS.
Which leads me to Project Life. Last year was a total fail - I only PL'ed for 4 months and couldn't keep up. I think it's because I wasn't that organized and because I had a very busy year with lots of teaching and stuff. I've decided to FOCUS on fun classes (finish my 31 Things which I'm pretty good at - and OLW) and make one page per week for my PL. I know I can make it. Let's FOCUS on that.
+++
I'm leaving monday morning for the US (YAY! Oh how I've been missing you, America...) - and I'll be at CHA! If you are there, would LOVE to see you! :D
I'll be back on this blog as soon as I get back, with my OLW album and my opening page for Project Life :)
In the meantime, let me wish you a WONDERFUL happy new Year 2013, full of laughters, happiness and love!
We are thrilled to be teaming up with Becky Higgins to bring you a Studio Calico Project Life kit! We love how Becky has revolutionized day to day memory keeping, and are excited to bring you the same amazing monthly inspiration that you've come to expect from Studio Calico in Becky's Project Life format.
If you're new to Project Life, Becky has a fun video that shares an overview of the concept on her website. At it's simplest, it's a photo + a journaling card for each day of the year - a system designed to bring memory keeping to anyone. As Project Life has caught on with more and more people, it has evolved into many forms - ranging from simple to embellished, from daily to weekly to monthly. We've witnessed that range of styles in our own member gallery, and can't wait to be a bigger part of your Project Life albums.
This partnership lets us bring you a monthly kit filled with journaling cards in a variety of sizes, a high-quality photopolymer stamp set, & many other embellishments such as decorative clips, washi tape, badges, stickers, die cuts, and much more. These kits will coordinate with our monthly scrapbook and card kits. The first kit will ship the first week of January 2013 - you'll get your first peek at it on December 14th with our January kit sneaks.
Keep up to date with Becky on her blog, or on Facebook and twitter, for even more Project Life news!

So, let's be honest straight away : I cheated :D Well, as this is my own Project Life, I decided to "extend" my week 2 into week 3 because I really really reallyyyyyy wanted to tell the story of my second week in Hawaii :) But shhh...don't tell anyone, ok?
I'm in love with this project more and more. I have to admit that it's been hard to actually devote TIME to it, due to all the assignments and life stuff (but we all have this problem, right?) and knowing that March is going to be a busy month (I'm going to India for 2 weeks soon), I'm going to be late on this project when I get home but I know for sure that I'm not going to let it down that easily.
Week 3 (which is an extension of week 2 but oh well...)
If you're into Project Life and would like to share your blog, I would love love love to go and check your blog :)
And for those of you in Europe that would like to order the page protectors or any other Project Life products, you can ONLY order through Scrapbooking Inner Circle. Great service. Fast shipping. Love it.
I have to admit that it's been a looong time since I didn't post anything about my Project Life. Since I left for Hawaii and Los angeles on January 19th, I only spent 5-6 days at home, not even in a row!
When I got home after CHA, I stayed one full day at home and then left for Naples, where I taught classes at the PACS (loved every single minute of it - I need to blog about it too), and then, got home for 4 days and left for Normandy, where I was teaching photo and scrapbook classes.
But yesterday evening was my PL night and I could catch up on my late! I enjoyed everyminute of this project, really. If you haven't got started on your own, do it now! I can finally scrapbook fast and without thinking of anything else than documenting my (our) life.
I decided, in the end, that I would start my Project Life with my trip to Hawaii.
I'm back with some pictures from my Project Life! Well, at least, my TITLE page :)
My Title Page gives you an idea of what I want my Project Life to be like : colorful, textured, fun. And about US. Our daily lives. Our everyday, the boring, the extraordinaire (like going to the movies - we rarely ever go, even though I LOVE cinema), our loved ones, our cats, our travels and more.
Damien is going to participate in this project a lot. He so enjoyed my December Daily, understanding how important that preserving our daily memories became to me. He's going to have his own notebook, his own little camera and while I'll be away from home, he'll keep up taking photos and journal HIS daily life without me :) As I travel quite a lot, I really want to feature my daily, our daily lives, but ALSO Damien's daily lives :)
For now, I'm still waiting for my box from the US (wink wink at my dearest Lisa) in which I'll find some Becky Higgins products, but I got started on my Title Page with Pink Paislee protector pages.
I got started with portraits of Damien and I, that my friend Corinne took a while ago. They are quite old (maybe taken 2 years ago) but I so love them :)
For now, I don't feel like I'm getting into my Project Life a lot, as I only managed to make the Title Page, but as soon as I get home from the States, you'll see a WEEKLY update on my Project Life on this blog!
So, for now, it's a lot of photos taken, notes written and gathering cool products! :)
From today on, every thursday you'll get tutorials/inspiration posts on this blog.
Today, I wanted to talk about PROJECT LIFE. YES. Everybody is talking about PL and Im no exception. Just wanted to share my thoughts and how I'm going to organize myself for this one-year project, because YEAH : I'M IN! :)
I had already heard about PROJECT LIFE before but never really paid attention, because I considered myself too busy to even read more about this concept.
And then, came three girls that totally convinced me to give it a try : Lisa Truesdell, Nicole Harper and Marcy Penner. Their approaches to PROJECT LIFE totally seduced me and with the amazing things I've seen on their blogs, well yeah, I wanted to be in the COOL circle too :)
I already organized myself : I have a corner in my scraproom that is only dedicated to PROJECT LIFE, I have a notebook that follows me everywhere (thanks Danda for the sweet gift!) and a nice box to store all of my products!
But, if you've never heard about PROJECT LIFE before, you might be wondering what it is exactly.
Well, let Becky Higgins explain her own project to you with this video.
Document your everyday. Your husband. Your kids. Your loved ones. Your neighbourhood. Your city. Your country. The world. WELL : everything that is AROUND you. And of course : YOURSELF.
The everyday. The magic.
Share something happy. Something sad.
That's why I wanna do it.
I want to document those little moments in my life, or those extraordinary days as well.
But let's start with : OR-GA-NI-ZA-TION.
You can't commit to a one-year-long project without a tiny bit of organization.
You can order your PROJECT LIFE page protectors on Amazon but you can definitely adapt whatever page protectors you have in hand, like those American Crafts ones which are perfect!
3. A BOX (to hide the mess and keep your favorite PROJECT LIFE stash in one place)
4. PAPERS
6x6" paper pads would be the best for me on this project (as I rarely ever use those - one good reason to use them for my inserts)
Create a SPECIAL PROJECT LIFE forlder on your computer and add whatever photo you wanna scrapbook in there.
Don't forget to edit them though!
Don't forget that this is a STRESS FREE project : if you can't do anything for 3 weeks, never mind, you'll catch up whenever you can.
No time or possibility to grab your camera with you? Well, you might have a camera on your mobile phone then :)
A very busy week and no interesting things to tell? Well, talk about your everyday, what seems boring to you but can be a good old souvenir in a couple of years :)
